My name is Nicholas Kinzel and I am interested in physics and engineering. For as long as I can remember I have always been a logical, critical thinker. I grew up playing competitive chess, winning a national tournament in middle school and continued being interested in other games and game theory.I really enjoy engineering because it is a profession of solving problems, often by thinking critically about them. For example, one problem I would like to solve is the pollution of lower earth orbital space. Because humanity's future appears to be in space, this pollution could potentially prevent exploration. I believe this problem needs to be addressed quickly because of the potential of the cascade of devastation a collision with the debris would cause. This would make space pollution a lot more difficult, and more expensive to solve.
