- Assisting my lecturer and a Master's in Chem Eng student in his research project revolving the micronisation of lactose particles via the exposure of ethanol vapour.- Set up of the experimental rig involves a food grade conveyor belt, multiple dryers, and a spray nozzle.- Purpose of the research is to determine the micronisation of lactose particles via ethanol vapour, which could be potentially used in microencapsulation.- Research ended up with a high, with the micronisation being a success, as via the exposure of ethanol vapour, the lactose particles measured to be 10x smaller than the original particle size.

QC Lab- Performed various tests and analysis on the manufactured silica products.- Test methods include but not limited to Particle size test via Malvern Mastersizer, sieve test, and Loss On Drying.- Performed daily safety checks to ensure that all hazardous materials and goods are stored in designated cabinets, reducing risk of spills and accidents in the lab.- Learnt about the process and how the chemical plant functions via the use of P&ID.Technical Sales- Exposed to handling customer complaints in the technical sales department.- Ran tests on returned products to determine the faults & solving them.
