•Led the end-to-end process from design, using CATIA, to manufacturing of a new fixture and improved components for existing fixtures that either enabled operators to cut two forgings simultaneously, enhance precision, reduce set-up time, and/or ensure a more secure cutting operation for multiple forgings•Identified and scrapped obsolete dies, resulting in over $55,000 in recovered profit and approximately an additional $50,000 in dies approved for scrapping, freeing up more than 500 sq. ft of valuable manufacturing space•Conducted tests on the etch line and analyzed/organized the data collected as well as seven months of historical data using Excel to identify the different etch rates of specific aluminum alloys and the parameters affecting their material removal rates, leading to optimized statistical process control through Six Sigma methodologies•Implemented 6S organizational principles in the manipulator jaw storage area, reducing injury risks associated with the installation and removal of jaws

•Developed rework planning for non-conforming aircraft components by creating sequences of operations with the processes necessary to resolve issues, and dispositioned these parts to ensure both the progression of parts through the production process and the reduction of scrap while adhering to customer specifications and timelines•Conducted weight analysis for 150 aircraft components using Siemens NX, revising CAD models as needed to ensure accurate specifications for export, which contributed to significant cost savings•Implemented changes to process planning/work instructions through AutoCAD, clarifying and modifying procedures to reduce issues and maximize efficiency on the production floor, to ensure LEAN practices and continuous improvement
