I joined Gamesys at the tail end of the data-warehousing project in 2008 to spearhead the Cognos implementation after a successful 9 months doing similar for the SMMT in Belgravia. I quickly moved in to a management role and due to getting to hire and work alongside several great incarnations of the team it managed to remain small and efficient throughout the years. In 2018 the Data Visualisation team is made up of 6 people all well versed in advanced report development and includes 1 software developer as we looked to push the boundaries of what we could offer by implementing bespoke solutions for the most crucial services to our customers visual needs.I implemented Tableau in 2015 as we recognised the need for self service analysis was greater than the Cognos stack could provide, yet also relied heavily on a highly trusted Framework Implementation that Cognos offered for more sensitive reporting (in my opinion Tableau is chasing IBM as a robust enterprise solution).In early 2017 a desire was hoped to be met where the team could identify crucial pain points in the services offered by 3rd party BI vendors and custom tooling built to surpress these bottlenecks, a strategy we are still using to discover new opportunities with data and become more technically proficient and therefore able to translate between technical and marketing lead departments with more strength.Gamesys has been wonderful at supporting my greatest passion in life, my music. I tour the world playing in several bands and the company supports my needs in flexability to meet touring requirements. I've not had to miss a show in 10 years (and not missed a work deadline) and that's saying something. For this reason, I hope to be at the company for many years to come.
