About Nick Simons

From as early as I can remember, two things have always been true for me - I love building things and I love people.I've spent my career working as an engineer and leader in the e-commerce, fundraising, wellbeing and employee experience spaces, building technology to support and enrich the lives of millions of users. As a leader - I am passionate about supporting people and building high performing, autonomous teams. I am a servant leader with a people first approach, believing that the primary responsibilities of any leader is to support, mentor and coach - elevating everyone around them. I'm a builder of collaborative, fun and innovative cultures - work should be FUN and team engagement is key. I've simplified and refined complex development processes to drive alignment between product and development - setting teams up to effectively execute on key business goals. As a technologist and engineer - I am passionate about finding creative solutions to complex problems. I have extensive experience leading teams in building, testing, and maintaining enterprise level software systems. I have experience in platform and web development, micro service architecture, test/automation infrastructure, CI/CD, release management and general dev ops. I love learning and pride myself on being able to ramp up and learn new technologies quickly. Outside of work I spend my time devoted to my family and 4 wonderful kids - exploring the PNW and soaking up life with them. I am an avid guitar player, singer/songwriter and love a good home renovation project!
