About Nick Van Hekken
Hi, my name is Nick Van Hekken. I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan's Sport Management program, with a minor in Spanish. A lot of my prior experience comes from the hospitality and customer service industries, which have strengthened my teamwork, problem solving, and organizational skills, while learning how to deal with customer relations and how to run a successful business. These are beneficial skills that can be transferred to a wide variety of jobs and positions. On campus at Michigan, I served as the Co-Director of the newly launched publication of the Sport Business Association, the SBA Journal. Additionally, I was a student manager for both the baseball and softball teams. Combined, these positions provided me with valuable experiences in sports journalism and team operations, two areas that I am very enthusiastic about.Currently, I am eager to step into the sports industry by looking for a position that allows me to begin transferring the skills I've gained thus far into the world of sports, as I gain experience in an industry that I'm interested in and passionate about.
