Synapse Identification Through Image Analysis
Worked with a team to develop a Python-based deep learning pipeline that supports multichannel image input to identify synapses through the use of pre-synaptic and post-synaptic marker colocalization. We developed an automated pipeline to increase efficiency and accuracy in locating synapses on an image that will aid in the Washbourne Lab’s goal to study Autism Spectrum Disorder. We also implemented industry-standard software architecture that included unit tests, proper documentation, and formatting through the use of Git/Github version control.
