Having left the corporate world after 30 years selling IT solutions to medium to large businesses, I'm seeking helping roles to add to my current work as counsellor/psychotherapist and supervisor at Lifeline, preferably working with young people and trauma. I have twenty years of experience at Lifeline Northern Beaches as a Lifeline telephone crisis counsellor/supervisor/suicide buddy, worked for six months on the Domestic Violence Hotline. This programme caters to largely younger help seekers and is doing some enormously valuable work in keeping young people safe. I have been involved since the initial pilot programme was launched in 2019.I recently completed my Masters in Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy at the Jansen Newman Insitute (part of Torrens University) and am accredited with the Australian Counselling Association. My experience is primarily with Person Centered Therapy and Narrative Therapy, underpinned by Family Systems.
