This includes the preparation of 60+ detailed reports for insurance companies under the EQC Act. These reports have addressed a diverse array of complex geotechnical challenges, such as complex claims, cross-boundary landslides, cluster claims, storm scour and inundation events, cyclone damage assessments, and global landslide failure analyses. He has undertaken several liquefaction and seismic analyses with the majority in the sands and ashes of Tauranga. With analyses such as liquefaction and lateral spreading, bearing capacity and slope displacement estimation. In addition to the above, Nick has significantly contributed to the design and construction of infrastructure and buildings near the foreshore such as: designing and undertaking site investigations for sea walls, undertaking pile inspections, completing site investigations and risk management for on wharf soil testing, and jetty foundation design.
