Young carers support young people who have additional responsibilities for caring for a family member or friend in their home. As Lead Practitioner I provide statutory assessments and support plans for young people. These plans can include trips and activities but also more intensive 1-1 support. I work with most families within the early help arena but will also support families at Child in Need and Child Protection. My role often included advocating for young carers both within the family and professional settings.
