About Nicky Roberts, Msc

I see a world where food system supply chains are at their fullest potential for people, profit, and planet. My mission is to reduce waste from boat to plate and farm to fork using market and product development, facilitation, and outreach. Focusing on the supply chain ensures that we engage all stakeholders in waste reduction, at all levels:Production- where producers are often limited by regulations in what they can produce/harvest Distribution- where different varieties have unrealized uses and scraps are often wastedConsumption- where a lack of consumer awareness drives limited markets for limited species, at the expense of environmental health and economic security. Currently I lead campaigns as a:1. Climate-resilient fisheries fellow with Environmental Defense Fund and Sustainable Ocean Alliance. Leading development of a regional roadmap for climate-resilient seafood supply chains in New England.2. Business analyst at Harvard University. Leading stakeholder engagement and governance for a University-wide project aimed at standardizing all person data. Collecting and translating complex technical information for data customers, administrators, and data systems.3. Independent consultant for nonprofits, creating marketing materials and informational content for food systems transformation.
