I’ve only had the two jobs since I left school, but I have learnt a variety of different skills and both jobs have enabled me to work under pressure effectively. For example, as a teenager, I worked in the kitchen as a chef in a busy local restaurant. There I was able to work under pressure, prioritise, focus and most importantly work efficiently in a team. I was in the kitchen, as we were short staffed however, this did not stop my desire to ask questions and learn of to cook a variety of dishes (I’ve benefited from this because it’s really nice to cook good food for myself, family and friends in my own home) After a long busy evening cooking for multiple customers, I used to enjoy the feeling of getting through them orders to a high standard and listening to positive feedback from customers. I also listened carefully to any criticism as I feel it’s important that you are made aware in order to improve. In my current job with Enterprise Insurance, we retain the vast majority of our clients due to our brilliant customer service. At Enterprise we strive to be as personal and as helpful to our clients, which is very easy to do as we get familiar with them often dealing with them weekly. We each are given set renewals that need to be sent out 21 days before the renewal date. So, it’s important that we meet this target due to FCA regulations and also it gives the client time to review their renewal. I work in personal and commercial insurance. I try and learn as much as I can about various different types of insurance to expand my knowledge and obtain a better understanding of the product. I feel the more knowledgeable I am, the more I am able to help my fellow colleagues and answer any queries by myself. My supervisor was off ill for a year and a half therefore, I had to step up and organise the different responsibilities that my supervisor would conduct. I enjoyed the pressure and importance that came with the supervisor role.I’m now in the commercial department full time, we at Enterprise Insurance specialise in insurance for Motor Trade, Fleet, Haulage, Commercial Property Owners, Liability policies. I enjoy getting used to and familiarizing myself with clients, I take pride in being only a phone call away in order to meet my clients demands and needs.
