I'm setting up the new Partner Center of Excellence function for Basware. This is an important strategic initiative as it enables our implementation Partners to grow more successfully together with Basware. At Basware, I have lead various client facing teams within different functions in order to constantly develop my skills. I have been fortunate to contribute to the success story of Basware, and have seen the company growing from merely 200 employees to over 1500.

I was heading the Customer Services Operation at Basware Asia Pacific. This included all Project Delivery plus post delivery services such as Support & Customer Success that Basware offered in the Apac region. My day to day work comprised of a wide spectrum of tasks such as leading and coaching our client facing teams, acting as an escalation sponsor, working with global cross functional teams, and driving our financial results.

I was responsible for the Basware Professional Services function in Asia Pacific. Our unit delivers first class Basware Purchase to Pay software, solution consulting, interface consulting, training, and project managment services to our clients in the Asia Pacific region.

As the Director of both the Project Management and Service Management function I was responsible for the operational and financial results of these functions in our region. The duties included steering customer programs, relationship building, PMO and CSM Development, and the financial management of the operation. I was also heavily involved in pre-sales and sales negotiations (Statement of Work, pricing, and contracts).

I headed the Project Management Office for Basware in our region. My team was responsible for delivering the Purchase to Pay and Financial Performance Solutions to our customers. The role included an active customer-facing role in terms of sales negotiations (Delivery SOW, pricing and other contracts, and proactively engaging the customers in project steering and relationship building meetings.

I was responsible for the Project Management department (PMO). During my time in this role I developed our software implementation function into a full blown Project Management Office (PMO). My team consisted of a dozen Project Managers in charge of implementing Basware Purchase to Pay and Financial Performance Management solutions to our customers.

After advancing to Senior Project Manager I got the opportunity to focus on large software implementation projects for our key customers. In this position I also took the responsibility for leading our team of Project Managers and enhancing our Project Management practices. This involved developing project models, new tools and processes used in our implementation projects. Clausion was previously known as Basware Financial Management.

My job was to lead the Financial Management software implementation projects with our key clients. Our software comprised of Budgeting and Group Consolidation solutions. Clausion was previously known as Basware Financial Management.

Gemalto (today Thales) is the global leader in Smart Cards based applications including SIM cards for mobile phones, Chip Cards for banking, and Security solutions. As a Strategic Program Manager I was responsible for managing strategic programs with key customers and organizations we saw a strategic interest in. These programs included “next generation” value-added services starting from 2.5G and moving to 3G and beyond.
