Leading a team of 6 administrators responsible for the on boarding of new employees. The team manage high volumes of cases each month, I’m responsible for ensuring quality, customer service and compliance levels are high by coaching, performance managing and implementing processes for the team to follow. I conduct monthly 1-2-1’s, team meetings, absence reviews, KPI reporting and analysis, and performance reviews. Work with key stakeholders within HR and the wider business to ensure the team continue to deliver and meet the requirements of the business. Continuous improvement is always a priority, constantly seeking ways to improve the customer experience, strengthen compliance or make things easier for the team. As Guinness continues to strive to be a great place to work, I contribute by managing the team fairly and consistently, coaching and enabling their development.

First line response for all contact to the HR team. Duties include: providing advice in line with current process and policies to both employees and line managers on a range of subject areas such as absence management, disciplinary, capability, grievance, and probation. Also, providing administration for maternity, paternity and adoption leave, employee exit, references, internal moves and changes of terms and conditions, right to work checks, and annual leave calculations. Managing the HR Service desk by responding to queries within the SLA and maintaining an accurate log of actions taken. Undertaking project work and implementing new processes to meet business needs.

Mainly responsible for the on boarding of new starters. Ensuring compliance standards were met, adhering to legislation set by the CQC. Key responsibilities included referencing, DBS checks, withdrawing offers for candidates with unsatisfactory checks, adding new starters to the payroll system, conducting right to work checks, issuing contracts, collating new starter paperwork. Lots of challenges which required adapting to new systems and implementing new ways of working to meet business needs.
