Accomplishments include:- Design, project management, and promotion of a self-service enterprise portal that offers translation services to over 60,000 employees. The portal includes a translation request tool, Machine Translation services for text and files, a search tool for localized documents, and a service for requesting linguistic consulting. Portal traffic was monitored with Google Analytics. Requirements Management and bug tracking was performed with Jira.- Design of a tiered localization quality model that significantly reduces localization spend by allowing to request the most appropriate level of translation quality based on content profile;- Design of a review sampling tool that calculates the review sample size based on requested translation quality and LSP performance, allowing to greatly cut localization costs;- Creation of the translation rating form and the LSP scoring model, which allow to monitor LSP performance over time; design of the query management form and review scheduling tool; - Significant involvement in all Machine Translation initiatives, including MT engine evaluation, selection, and training, and inclusion of MT in the Localization workflow and in the enterprise portal;- Implementation and maintenance of terminology management systems with over 20,000 entries in 9+ languages; dissemination of terminology management best practices;- Review of Italian localized content, and maintenance of Italian terminology, Style Guides, and Translation Memories;- Project Management of urgent localization jobs: from creating the project in the TMS system, to LSP and reviewer selection, to final delivery of the translated document;- Creation of internal and external English documentation such as handbooks and presentations; training sessions on the usage and best practices of translation software tools;- Vendor meetings to discuss quality metrics and pain points, and to put in place the necessary corrective measures;
