I am Nicola and I am a qualified, Ofsted registered, childminder in Sandal, Wakefield. Children's early experiences and relationships in the first five years of life are critical for development and I strongly believe every child deserves the best start in life.I strive to do the very best for every child I care for; promoting their individuality and aiming to make all children and families feel welcome by providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for children to learn. Children are at the centre of everything; the well-being and rights of the child are paramount and I take all precautions to keep them safe at all times. I plan resources and activities according to the children’s interests and build upon these to help children achieve their milestones. I follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework and provide a rich learning environment by providing resources to let their imagination flourish. Each child is unique and I enjoy getting to know what they like/don’t like so that I can help them to grow.I plan fun and stimulating days. The playroom has a wide variety of interesting and accessible resources and toys as well as invitations for sensory, creative and artistic play. I plan adult-led and child-led activities. We are very fortunate to have some beautiful outdoor spaces within walking distance too.
