Working in a busy marketing team I managed the day-to-day internal communications and media relations activity for the company. I predominantly worked with the senior leadership team in understanding the priorities of the business and what the key messages of the company, thereby ensuring that the communications plan was in line with the strategy and communicated internally.I particularly enjoyed promoting the intranet within the company and encouraged the use by employees as the ‘go to’ for all company information. My work on the intranet was integral when the company planned and implemented a large rebranding exercise.In addition to internal communications, I worked within media relations, working within a team to help promote campaigns, research and expertise to local, national and trade press.
