Co-founder of start-up company, Hey You Foods, that produced healthy snacks for children. I had an idea for a product that was made of natural and nutritious ingredients but tasted like a treat. With a business partner, we developed recipes and launched three flavours of Hey You Energy Cubes in March 2019. Our products were stocked in small, independent shops around Bucks and Berks and we sold online. We exhibited at Lunch! trade show in September 2019 but were unable to break into the large retailers. Ultimately we needed significant investment to rebrand and relaunch our snacks, but were unable to find it and the business closed in January 2020.

I ran a nutrition consultancy carrying out 1-1 nutrition consultations, which gave each client a personalised healthy eating plan. I also worked on many projects; writing suggested meal plans and devising recipes for the intranet of a large UK company, I wrote training materials for carers looking after elderly people in their homes. I also gave nutrition talks at corporate wellbeing and cookery days in conjunction with a social enterprise and worked with a corporate health consultancy offering consultations at several large companies in London. I published a blog on practical, everyday healthy eating and wrote articles on eating well.
