As a student ambassador my role was to support the department by providing insight into my life at the university of Sheffield with the hope prospective students may apply come the end of their A-levels. I shared my experience of student life, life in the city and different activities i enrolled myself while studying at the university. I took part in virtual and in-person open day events, meeting prospective students. I aided in recruitment and outreach events, and also creating content for social media. I heavily enjoyed this experience as it was a great way to help A-level students find the best university for them so that they may succeed to the best of their ability once they begin higher education.

During my time at the The Ball (Crookes, Sheffield), i was responsible for greeting customers and providing a welcoming environment for patrons to enjoy themselves. I would fulfill drinks and food orders while taking in payments; serving drinks at the bar or to tables and ensuring that the bar was fully stocked. I was also responsible for keeping a sanitary working environment: collecting and cleaning glasses and washing up pots and dishes. I was part of a bar staff team which helped run the pub to an excellent standard expected of us from our management and patrons.

Finally, I was also responsible for organizing deliveries and driver routes for our delivery drivers to fulfill take out orders.

During my time as an Air Cadet I learnt rigid discipline and a strong work ethic which allowed me to be promoted to the rank of Corporal. Additionally this caused me to attain great attention to detail as was expected of us as we had to ensure our uniform was pristine. I also was selected to participate in one of the most prestigious courses the Air Training Corps has to offer: the Air Cadet Leadership Course at RAF Cranwell - the officer training base for the RAF. During this week long course I learnt about how to effectively lead and what it means to be a good leader. I also learnt professionalism and comradery within my Squad. Therefore I learnt how to work well with others and build charisma which is useful as I can quickly make friends within the workplace in order to elevate productive work. My time as an Air Cadet was noting short of amazing and is extremely useful to this day.
