With a strong background of 15+ years in storytelling through poetry, it has allowed me to bring forth that storytelling ability to connect with people I know personally and people I don't. Whether a childhood friend or someone I just met at the grocery store for let's say, 2 minutes, my love of human connection has driven me to constantly have this hunger to learn about others. In struggling to figure out what I wanted to do for my "career," I learned that I am already living my dream: Inspiring those around me to be open and vulnerable, and to not live in the suppression of one's own feelings out of the fear that what you feel and have to say does not matter. On top of poetry, I have a strong interest in Hip-Hop/R&B. Taking it upon myself to learn it's culture further deepened my understanding of what is not just music, but a lifestyle. Hip-Hop/R&B has literally become a part of how I live. I enjoy catching up on the latest albums, mixtapes, videos, news, singles, up & coming artists and tours. I've learned to dislike the question, "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" only because life is so unexpected. I don't want to live for 5 years when 5 years isn't guaranteed. I want to live for RIGHT NOW. I will be completely honest in that I am unsure of where I will end up, but I am extremely confident in myself. One thing life has continuously taught me is that I am exactly where I am supposed to be. Every single day is a day of growth, learning, and understanding, and I have complete faith in Nicolas as I continue to learn and build myself every second that I am given another breath to take.
