I could use this space to put down a laundry list of skills to let you assess my experience in frontend engineering, but I'd prefer to use this opportunity to tell you how I contribute to nurture and run effective cross-disciplinary teams through all the ups and downs of user interface development: this is what keeps me going.Why is this even important? In today's UI development landscape, being a unicorn no longer cuts it. It takes a proverbial village to build something amazing, and it takes a skilled eye to identify and amplify the potential that each person brings to the mix—like ingredients in a good recipe.I bring my own technical expertise, honed through many years of work on digital marketing and e-commerce product teams, but I have shifted my interest to building frontend infrastructure: I lead teams responsible for the development of tools, ready-to-use solutions, and best practices for large scale engineering teams. Architecture and software design patterns; code and component libraries; automation; documentation; coding standards building and refining; and CI/CD are all right up my alley.I’m not the subject matter expert on every single thing, but I make sure to understand the big picture. I’m equally comfortable talking to stakeholders to distill and organize priorities as I am making sure our consumers get the help and support they need to consume what we produce. But by far, the favorite part of my day is to collaborate, mentor and learn from fellow engineers in the craft of collectively building accessible, performant and beautiful user interfaces.What kind of frontend engineering challenge are you trying to figure out in your organization?
