I am first and foremost a passionate Earth Observation Mission Systems Engineer and a creative problem solver. I have had the pleasure to work on the fantastic Sentinel 5 Precursor, and several successful studies and proposals (EE9 FORUM, EO Sentinel Convoy, to name but just a few closest to my heart). I have had the chance to follow Sentinel-5p into implementation phase in the dual role of system engineer (supporting the Engineering Manager) and Payload Interface Manager, working with an excellent"team of teams" from Airbus, ESA and Dutch Space, not forgetting all the suppliers. As a Chief Engineer, I believe in getting the best from my team by creating an enjoyable, motivating environment.Complementary to my EO speciality, I also have a strong experience in Space Debris Mitigation - a topic that is an essential part of EO missions in low-earth orbits in particular. I have led proposals and studies on Design for Demise and re-entry strategies.Since October 2021, I have been the Technology Director of the Centre for Earth Observation Instrumentation, managing ITTs, proposal evaluation and follow-up of the projects on behalf of the UK Space Agency.
