From 2011 onward, ZD Wines has been the official Amgen Tour of California Race Wine Partner. As Brand Ambassador during that period, I have been responsible for setting up the station in the finish line VIP hospitality tent, providing guest tastings, & discussing the qualities and making of some of the BEST DAMN WINE to come out of the Napa Valley, as well as the history of the Winery and its founders. Also acted as guest liaison to the Winery sales staff.

Burning Man Festival, Nv

As Ranger Pirate, I was a first-aid ranger at the Burning Man festival. Blue Dot is an archaic designation for "First Aid Ranger", with accompanying colored dot on our IDs.As part of a term of First Responders, we were bike-mounted rapid response to minor medical calls, and were responsible for stabilizing patients and calling in the next level of emergency response for more serious cases.I also served on the Emergency Services Dept of the Rangers (ESDR) leadership team as first-responder liaison. With the rest of the leadership being EMS professionals volunteering for the Rangers, I represented the non-professionals who were first-responder certified among the rangers. I assisted with finding interested Rangers F.R. training & certification and brought their concerns to the discussion.In the field I have been both a bike-mounted medic and the "comm-monkey" for ranger HQ staff. On Burn Night, the craziest of all, it was my responsibility to listen to 2 different radio channels and alert my lead to calls for them or issues they need to be aware of as they went about the festival at it's height.I have also had to find wounded, scared people amidst the dragons and sandstorms and get them someplace they could get aid.Since I stepped down from active duty, the callsign "PIRATE" has been officially retired from the Black Rock Rangers.
