My swim team coach once shared a quote with me that has stuck with me till this day. She said "Trophies and medals are won at practice, you merely go to collect them at the competitions, so enjoy the journey rather than the final destination". This quote speaks volumes to me as it has guided my educational journey. My name is Nicolas Andres Christakis Peralta and I am a first-generation university student, studying at Florida International University. I hope to earn my trophies and medals in the field of accounting with my first being a Bachelor's in Accounting with a minor in Data Analytics. To enhance my journey I have been involved in organizations such as Beta Alpha Psi, ALPFA and AIS where I have engaged in professional development meetings and community service opportunities. As I continue my journey I am aware that my final destination is to obtain a Master's in both Taxation and Data Analytics and become a CPA. I look forward to all the opportunities that this path has to offer and all that I will learn throughout the way as it is not the final destination of becoming a CPA that guides me but rather the journey.
