Project Manager
CurrentAs a Project Manager within the Operations Department, I am responsible for executing all translation projects from start to finish and serving as a single point of accountability for their successful completion. I am also responsible and ultimately accountable for the entire life cycle of all translation projects assigned to me. It is also required to meet all client timelines and work in conjunction with all cross-functional teams. Some of my main responsibilities as a Project Manager are to: analyze project specifications and requirements, plan budgets and overall project schedules; comply with process while performing project planning; receive, evaluate and prepare the production documents at project on-set; select, schedule and manage the translation team; track the project schedule, coordinate internal and external resources, manage TM and vocabulary, and solve problems in production; maintain complete and accurate records of every phase and aspect ofprojects; monitor and communicate project progress, ensure strict adherence to deadlines and budgets, and ultimately produce high quality deliverables; track and control the project cost; inspect quality assurance of all files in process to insure that file viability, completeness, formatting, and character display are maintained throughout the production process; deliver complete, defect-free files to the client on time and within budget; set and fulfill client expectations; handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;understand and abide by individual project instructions; liaise with sales staff to clarify project parameters; establish and maintain excellent relationships with contract linguists globally; coordinate with quality personnel to ensure that the translation perfectly complies with instructions and is linguistically perfect; communicate any issues, problems, caveats or additional information tosales staff as soon as that information is available.
