If so, I can helpI’m Nicole and I have 11 years of teaching experience and am a parent of a neurodivergent child with sensory processing needs. I have partnered with Kate Grayson, an Occupational Therapist of 18 years who specialises in sensory processing and together we have created The Super Sensory Squad.We cover all angles.The Super Sensory Squad is a foundational bottom-up approach to regulation grounded in both professional and personal experiences. We promote inclusion through connection, regulation and learning and use our loveable squad of penguins to make understanding the eight sensory systems accessible to all. For Organisations: We offer Sensory Informed Training and Resource Packages for organisations who have families as their service users. Please send me a message and we can arrange a call to so we create a bespoke package to suit your organisation.For Parents: We run accessible and affordable online courses such as 'Understanding Sensory Processing Through Stories' Course and 'Be a Strong Sensory Advocate' Programme. These will equip you and your child with knowledge and understanding of the sensory systems and help you confidently advocate for the sensory needs of you child.For Children's Activity Providers:I offer online training packages for Children's Activity Providers and/or Networks of Tutors as 'The Friendly SEND Advisor'. As a former teacher and a parent of a child with additional needs I am passionate that with the right training can help ensure that ALL children feel included in the sessions and have their sensory needs met. Having sensory needs met means less triggers for young people which will lead to less activation of the flight-fight response. I am running The Adapt and Include SEND Conference is on Saturday 2nd November at Marsham Court Hotel, Bournemouth for Children's Activity Providers and Tutors.I’ve also written a book called 'My child has exams...now what?' (available on Amazon) through my business A Box Full of Joy and have a course to support parents using a 'whole-child' approach in empowering their children to achieve their full potential without exams having a detrimental impact on their mental health.
