- Collaborate with UBCO to strategically identify, develop and operate new research and collaboration partnerships through a cross-disciplinary and cross-sectoral platform including knowledge exchange among researchers, practitioners, policymakers, students, and stakeholders.- Facilitate strategic research projects and partnerships between the City of Kelowna and UBCO, and other potential stakeholders, including academic institutions, funding agencies, and key partners.- Enhance research efforts on sustainable development and urban challenges and opportunities through leveraging research grants, creating partnerships, and developing a network that connects with national and international centers.- Lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions for sustainable community development, such as policies, practices, technologies, and business models.- Develop, identify and create opportunities for the City to collaborate with academia, private industry, and the public sector to deliver services and solve problems through research efforts.- Administer annual Partnership Fund budget and leverage alternative revenue sources through research grants and partnerships
