Fine Wine & Spirits Consultant - Metro Sales - Wine Mule

In partnership with the Founder, built a start-up wholesale distribution company focused on local wines from small, sustainably-driven wineries in upstate New York. • Responsible for all wine selection and warehousing seasonally (total 275 brands/vintages/etc)• Oversaw sales to all on and off-premise accounts in NYC • Grew sales from $2,000 to $700,000 annually and NYC account base from 2 to 215 over the course of three years• Recruited and trained all administrative and sales staff • Developed partnerships with supporting organizations and charities including Just Food, New York Wine & Grape Foundation, Finger Lakes Wine Alliance, Fresh Art, and TEDxManhattan. • Led the development of a cohesive and working website, including downloadable synopses of each winery, a blog, and social media content. • Partnered with wine-makers to develop brands for the metro market • Coordinated and led tastings, trips to the regions, and marketing events for wine-makers and retail & restaurant customers • Managed a quarterly sales budget of $160,000 and a team of up to 7 sales and support staff
