I worked closely with office-based colleagues and account managers across the EMEA region to produce customised print and e-textbooks for academics.Developed expertise in web development and coding using HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript. Aimed to raise student engagement and outcomes by providing exceptional user-experiences, as well as increasing our departmental portfolio to bring in new revenue opportunities, while reinforcing existing revenue streams.Created a dynamic environment for users that engages learners in both the cognitive and affective domains of learning, and which transforms custom products from static to interactive learning solutions. Successfully created and delivered a new workflow for Wiley Custom Select - the customer-facing online interface that allows instructors to create their own custom products – which maximised efficiencies and adhered to our agreed parameters.Identified opportunity to establish a more efficient workflow to meet demands of a new, high-volume/short time-frame market:Set up partnership with new print suppliers, expediting distribution times and significantly reducing unit costs.I am proud to have increased the custom revenue by 400% in less than one year and to have delivered 100% of approved titles on time.Responsible for providing universities with a suite of digital content across a range of platforms - including WileyPLUS and VitalSource. I project managed the production of Higher Education front list textbooks ranging in complexity, and including the delivery of all associated digital and online products. This involved briefing and managing freelancer editors and designers to ensure the pedagogy was displayed optimally for student engagement, and working with our vendors to create interactive elements to selected final products. Towards the latter end of this period we changed our workflows and outsourced most of our standard production work. I implemented new workflows, identified and managed key aspects of the change and ensured regular meetings were set up to support and advise new colleagues to minimise any issues or delays to schedules.
