The Community College Association of Texas Trustees (CCATT) is an independent membership organization representing more than 400 elected trustees and regents across the state's 50 public community college districts. As Director, I am responsible for building trustee and regent capacity through professional development, board engagement, supporting CCATT's leadership and committees, and connecting CCATT members to ongoing legislative issues and strategies coordinated by the Texas Association of Community Colleges (TACC).

Supported Government Department faculty member Dr. Derek Epp for the undergraduate course "Introduction to Public Policy" during the fall 2021 semester. Delivered lectures on education policy and polarization in the policy making process.

Elected at large in November 2016 by voters who live in the Austin Community College taxing district. In December 2020, I was elected to be the Board Secretary.The nine-member Board sets policy for the College, approves the annual budget ($443 million for FY22), and is responsible for hiring/firing/evaluating the Chancellor of the College.
