I am currently the Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and Professor of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Washington. I am passionate about expanding timely and equitable access to high-quality cancer care and therapies using innovative strategies, with focused efforts to ensure positive patient and provider experience. My academic and research interests include novel treatment strategies in ovarian and uterine cancers, and innovative surgical research. My current clinical responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient clinical care, complex oncologic surgery using minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques, formal teaching and surgical training, and clinical research. My prior work experience includes 13 years in the Division of Surgery and Department of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center where I held multiple administrative positions including Center Medical Director at MD Anderson Sugar Land, Inpatient Medical Director for Gynecology services at MD Anderson hospital, and Director of Surgery in the MD Anderson Cancer Network.
