I am a pharmacist, researcher and educator from Cape Town, South Africa who is passionate about teaching and learning. My top strengths are being a learner and achiever so I think the academic setting suits me quite well. Relationship building is important to me in my work. I am proud to lead the Masters in Clinical Pharmacy programme presented by the School of Pharmacy at the University of the Western Cape. Nothing is more rewarding to me than seeing students grow and develop. My postgraduate teaching is focused on infectious diseases, paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology. My recent research is focused on paediatrics, clinical pharmacy, rational medicine use and pharmacogenomics. Through my PhD I aim to develop a pharmacogenomics curriculum framework for pharmacy education in SA. To further my knowledge and expertise in pharmacogenomics, I joined the CPIC team and serve on the PGRN Global Committee. I believe our patients will be healthier when we collaborate with an interprofessional team. Collaborating with international colleagues is one of the most inspiring opportunities in my career.
