Having completed a Diploma of Building Design and Certificate IV in Residential Building Drafting, I am enthusiastically pursuing the opportunity to build a long term career as a professional draftperson. With experience contributing to design projects of all complexities including single, double and triple storey residential projects involving different construction techniques such as suspended flooring and wall construction methods, I am skilled in the interpretation of structural engineering plans to ensure designs overcome site-based challenges. I am also accomplished in reviewing designs to ensure compliance with all industry and legislative requirements including Australian Standard 1428.1, the National Construction Code, R-Codes, design specifications and Local Development Plans. Through my diverse experience on residential projects, I have also required thorough knowledge of the seven core elements of Silver Livability to ensure homes are accessible and safe for individuals with physical impairments and limitations including people with disabilities and the elderly. I am also knowledgeable of the specifications required to ensure housing meets NDIS compliance requirements.Highly adaptable, I am also experienced in the management of the administrative functions of a busy drafting business including ensuring all information and specifications are thorough and correct, tracking job progress, resolving issues impacting work flow and managing day-to-day operations and managing the drafting email inbox.
