I have extensive experience in the veterinary field as a certified veterinary technician both in small practices and emergency hospital settings over the past ten years. Within these settings I have developed my ability to multitask and prioritize, manage and coach employees, and process detailed documentation on a daily basis.My position as a manager at PetSmart was very customer-focused and involved communicating with customers, both in person and over the phone, and being responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store.As a veterinary technician I personally administer medical treatments, complete procedures, and monitor and document observations of the animals in our care. After treatment I document care plans for the animals and communicate my recommendations to clients. My current position requires attention to detail and strong teamwork to ensure our animals receive the best care I can possibly give them. My many years of experience have taught me a number of skills that I believe will make me successful in this position. Being a veterinary technician has taught me to be adaptable and fluent with learning new procedures and practices. Medical records are legal documents that must be written clearly with sound wording and this has given me very strong written and verbal communication skills. Organization, the ability to multitask, attention to detail, and dedication to my work are all qualities that have helped me excel in this field.
