I came to college with the goal to graduate and find a wonderful job in the arts. I realize there is so much more to it; I love Animation/Illustration, and I love working with community's, such as the beautiful one here at SJSU. From a very young age I was exposed to social outreach, specifically with the Latin/x community, and this has inspired me to become a more active participant in this diverse world. I intend to do more social engagement and outreach with underrepresented groups, and I have the opportunity to do so with the leadership role I have taken in the academic year 2022-2023 with the colligate group Women in Animation. Over the past 2+ years, I have had the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional setting with communication, graphic design, outreach, and community engagement. Team-oriented, passionate, persistent, optimistic, self motivated, and dependable are the traits that I put into anything I do; professional and personal. I cannot wait to contribute more to my passions.Currently I am employed with the Humanities and Arts student Success Center as well as the Provost office here at SJSU as a student Assistant in both and in theses position, I am given the opportunity to aid students and faculty towards their success. I also have experience with graphic design and sign manufacturing, through interning with Sonoma County Regional Parks Sign Shop. Here I was able to lead and assist on different projects creating designs for signage in 50+ parks. Within my collegiate career, I have been able to take on a leadership position with Women in Animation (WIA). I am also a member of the Animation/Illustration club, The ShrunkenHeadMen.In my academic year of 2022, I was chosen as a President's Scholar for keeping a 4.0 GPA through Spring term.
