Helping patients to get the proper equipment needed to do their exercises as well as explaining different exercises to help them to get better both in and out of the facility.

Helping first year college students by guiding them towards campus resources as well as helping them become functional now that they are on their own.

I was part of the Allied Health Academy during my junior and senior years of high school. During that time, I completed an internship with Chilton Medical Center in the Physical and Occupational Therapy department for my senior year. During this time, I was able to learn through the amazing therapists how to successfully get a patient up and moving after a surgery or fall, how to carefully walk them around the floor to promote movement in a fun way and often helped perform exercises such as helping regain the momentum of brushing their teeth or taking out the garbage by themselves.
