Included a B placement at Shoeburyness High School for 6 weeks to gain experience in a contrasting school environment, where I also helped students with an after school science project. • Upon receiving feedback for the first ‘evidence drop’ (work and data showing that the Teachers’ Standards are being met), I created an organised system to present the information for the next one in a clear, easily accessible format. This was sent to the entire cohort as an exemplar that everyone was encouraged to emulate.• Created a lesson that replaced a similar one used on a science enrichment day for year 8. This was a ‘murder mystery’ revision lesson for year 8, combining practical and theoretical aspects of biology, physics and chemistry from the year to find the murderer through systematic elimination of suspects.• Taught highly able grammar school students science in years 7 and 8, biology to years 10 and 11, and physics to year 9. • An award winning collaboration between the University of York and Flamingo Land.• Conducted scientific research into the welfare of captive Burmese pythons with an aim to publish in PLOS ONE. Involved liaising with breeders and keepers of Burmese pythons to gather data.• Organised a research symposium for 160 people, where local college students and previous CIRCLE interns presented their research, and a raffle raised money for the Udzungwa Forest Project. Helped organise a 10km charity run to raise money for the Udzungwa Forest Project.• Read and edited research papers to prepare them for publication in scientific journals.
