• Taught 315 highly able grammar school students; science to year 7, and biology to years 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Planned lessons effectively to ensure that all students made progress, including practical lessons and experiments with significant health and safety considerations. My students were achieving/exceeding their forecast grades.• Taught Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) to year 8, addressing learning styles, and the controversial subject of animal research and animal testing. Concerning the latter, students shared their opinions and listened to each other respectfully, and disagreements were debated maturely.• Adapted lessons to ensure they were accessible to students with hearing impairment, autism, and epilepsy.• Supervised on a 3 day residential trip for year 13 biology students to complete practical elements of the A level course.• Helped run ‘enrichment days’, including a ‘murder mystery’ forensic investigation for year 9 students, in which students carrying out experiments, writing reports, and making videos.• Form tutor to a year 8 form, helping with their organisation and pastoral concerns, encouraging and helping coordinate their participation in house events.
