    As a research associate at UT's Texas Advanced Computing Center, I design and implement culturally responsive evaluations of STEM education programs to inform program development and to assess outcomes and impacts. I develop evaluation plans, logic models, and data collection measures; manage data collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data; write and disseminate reports to help stakeholders understand the outcomes and impacts of programs; and work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure evaluations meet program needs. I've lead evaluations of eight multi-year, federally-funded (e.g., NSF, NASA) STEM education programs to broaden participation of historically excluded groups, and evaluations of five smaller programs supporting internships and computer science professional learning for teachers. I also lead data collection and analysis for a national field test of high school science curricula and provide technical assistance to 15 states on continuous improvement and using data for equitable impact to inform efforts to modernize statewide math course-taking pathways.Additionally, I conduct research on broadening student participation computer science education and teacher retention and motivation, and I publish and disseminate those research findings. I mentor and manage graduate student research assistants in both evaluation and research. I am also heavily involved in developing partnerships with local and national networks to advance goals of supporting teachers and broadening participation in STEM.
