Current• Create and maintain a positive learning environment for autistic and multiple disabled elementary students through the use of positive behavior management supports, that foster educational and personal growth at a not for profit private school.• Plan and implement classroom routines to increase student independence.• Develop a highly structured learning environment using the TEACCH methodology, ABA, and VB.• Differentiate multi sensory lessons to improve functional daily living skills, communication skills, and basic academic skills of all students by adapting the Common Core Standards.• Create and administer NYSAA testing as well as both formal and informal assessments to determine the students’ current levels of performance; update IEP’s when necessary.• Collaborate with parents, school administrator, psychologist, behavior specialist, social worker and home district special education committee to create individualized behavior management plans to increase positive behaviors.• Maintain a positive relationship with parents through the use of a daily communication log, phone calls home, and inviting parents to join classroom activities.• Collaborate with peers to develop a school curriculum and successful progress monitoring resources.
