Nicole Fleming is an award-winning entrepreneur and community leader who has made a mark for herself in the business community of Hampton Roads, Metropolitan Atlanta and beyond. Over the past 18 years, she has provided her considerable experience and knowledge of organizational theory, business management and business development to entrepreneurs, established businesspeople, nonprofit organizations and underserved communities all across Virginia, and has been recognized for her vision and leadership by the SBA and the governor of Virginia. Mrs. Fleming’s has successfully provided coaching and professional services to nonprofit organizations and business owners and managers wishing to take their organizations, entrepreneurial endeavors, firms, boards or departments to the next level. In 1990, she was activated to serve in Operation Desert Shield/Storm in Saudi Arabia. In Saudi Arabia, Mrs. Fleming performed a wide variety of duties for her country, including as a navigation specialist, financial administrator, records specialist, and administrative assistant to the Executive Commander. In addition to her professional endeavors, Mrs. Fleming works with youth groups and seniors primarily in underserved communities to promote computer literacy, entrepreneurship and community service. Mrs. Fleming has won several honors over the years for her excellence in business, her most recent recognition as one of Hampton Roads “2006 Top Forty-Under-Forty” business leaders was noted by Inside Business. Mrs. Fleming is also an advocate for veteran entrepreneurs and received an award as “Virginia’s 2002 Veteran Small Business Advocate of the Year” through the U.S. Small Business Administration. Mrs. Fleming has also appeared in the 2000-2002 Strathmore’s Who’s Who in Young Executives; and was chosen to serve on the 2003 Director’s Advisory Panel to Study Women’s Business Issues in support of Governor Mark Warner’s Executive Order 29.
