I played softball at the University of Oklahoma where I won 4 National Championships. With a very busy schedule, I was able to efficiently balance athletics with school, as well as make time for hobbies, such as photography, with the little free time that I had. Although my softball career did not allow for me to gain “official” work experience, I believe that what I learned playing for OU softball is highly valuable and will take with me for the rest of my life. In my years of being a collegiate athlete, I used my platform to get my message out to fans and other athletes, which was that athletes are people before they are what people see on the field. I wanted to remind athletes of all ages that they are not just an object of entertainment, but a person before anything else.
