I embarked on a new adventure with the Rise programme at Agent Academy, where I developed my interest and skills in the digital and creative industry, as I was looking to make the next step in my career. We learnt about personal development, tech skills, social media marketing and much more, while taking on a live client brief.

I worked at the Skate Manchester Cathedral Gardens Ice Rink over the Christmas 2022 season, working with the public in the boot exchange, on the ice, box office and cloakroom. I worked alongside the manager and other staff members. These roles required me to greet the public, use computers, scanners and the booking system, take payments, quickly exchange shoes for ice skates and much more, to run the ice rink smoothly.

I designed print design often from the client’s brief through meetings and email. I took personal responsibility to ensure that the final drafts were free from errors before they were committed to print. This role gave me a great understanding of the preparing process for printed materials.
