I completed both student teaching semesters at Fanny Jackson Coppin School. During my Early Elementary internship I was placed in a 1st grade classroom and conducted various duties including but not limited to; nurturing and maintaining positive professional relationships with teaching staff, parents and students, creating and differentiating interactive engaging lessons using multiple means of representation and hands-on activities and utilizing various classroom management techniques to maintain a culturally responsive classroom environment. In my Special Education practicum, I worked in a learning support classroom wth students in grades K thru 3rd. During this time I assisted in pulling out 12 students from their general classroom needing specially designed instruction for math, literacy and social skills development, participated in IEP Meetings, parent Conferences and evaluation meetings, implemented scripted interventions including: Reading Mastery and Corrective Reading as well as administered standardized tests including, Key Math and Woodcock-Johnson.

In my role of Student Teacher, I exhibited a variety of duties. I created and implemented interactive small group and whole class lessons for various subject areas (Mathematics, Reading, Writing, Physical Education) in a combined 5th and 6th grade class, continuously developed positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues, promoted an inclusive positive learning environment for all students and participated and attended all staff meetings, grade group planning sessions, parent conferences and staff professional development.

As a Front of House server at Bluestone Steakhouse and Furnace restaurant (under the Lawrenson group), my role included greeting and seating guests upon arrival, providing high quality formal table service, maintaining positive customer service including attending to all customer concerns and questions. My job also included maintaining the cleanliness of restaurant facilities and dinnerware as well as conducting bartending services and attending advancement workshops for extending the knowledge on food cuisine, wine and barista services.

As a Dental Assistant, my primary role was to aid and support the dentist with procedures such as: crowns, fillings, extractions, veneers and root canals. The role also included interaction with various patients, patient care, administrative duties (when needed), and the maintenance of instrument cleanliness and sanitation, the overall clinic and dental equipment.
