Nicole enjoys teaching all content areas, to her students, through the International Baccalaureate program at her school. She is currently the team lead for her fourth grade team, along with being an active member on her building's leadership team, PBIS Committee, and the English Language Arts Vertical team. Nicole's greatest joy is building strong partnerships with her diverse students and families through using effective communication methods. Her classroom is comprised of a diverse learning community, where numerous accommodations are provided, and constantly reviewed, to ensure that all students are successful. Nicole also enjoys being certified to work with children who are acquiring the English language as an additional language to their current native language.

Nicole enjoyed working with two groups of amazing children and their families at Ellsworth Hill Elementary School. During this timeframe, she mentored a new long-term substitute teacher, was asked to pilot the new Bridges math curriculum, and was a member of the Intervention Assistance Team. She took on these leadership roles while continuing to match best instructional practices for her group of learners to reach their maximum potential.

Nicole thoroughly enjoyed working with fourth graders during this year. She collaborated with the fourth grade teaching team to closely monitor student data and use this data to make instructional decisions for future lessons.

Nicole enjoyed being the teacher of an inclusion classroom. She worked very closely with the special education teacher in order to accommodate a wide range of abilities within the general education classroom setting.

Nicole was the permanent district substitute with the Hudson City School District. She had the opportunity to work in several general education, special education, and inclusion classrooms that ranged from preK-5th grade. She was offered and completed several long-term teaching placements during this time. While being either a substitute or long-term substitute, Nicole was expected to plan and implement full units of study and to successfully teach children with little or no advanced warning. She learned one of the best qualities that a teacher can possess, and that is the importance of being flexible.

As a Retail Sales Representative at T-Mobile, Nicole ensured that all of her customers had the best technological device to fit their needs. She assisted clients with their mobile or home phone questions and concerns, along with detailling their billing questions, and troubleshooting their mobile devices.

Nicole took several classes toward being an administrator. She thoroughly enjoyed learning about Ohio law as it pertains to the education.
