As a Diversity Officer Nicole provides leadership, direction and support for Enrollment Management initiatives that impact all areas of the college to create and sustain a culture of inclusive excellence at CCD. She also operates as a change-agent by providing leadership for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) based recruitment, enrollment & outreach initiatives, and provides guidance on all campus DEI engagement that impacts the college community as a whole via the Diversity and Inclusion Council she co-chairs.

As a conduct officer, Nicole is responsible for the expedient adjudication of hearing conduct cases. Encompassed with this description is the coordination of hearing schedules, complainants, witnesses as well as disseminating information regarding policy and procedure; tracks and processes online complaints, and coordinates follow-up to ensure adherence to sanctions rendered. She also assists in investigation of incidents related to Title IX sexual misconduct and/or Civil Rights claims. Presents at New Student Orientation, providing incoming students with the core principals of Conduct and Civil Rights on campus; actively participates in facilitate safety and security training. Nicole is certified in Mediation, Threat Assessment, Behavioral Intervention, Title IX and Mental Health First Aid.

Performed a combination of core managerial duties and responsibilities related to functioning as paralegal and assistant to both General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Trustees
