As a Content Manager, I oversee all marketing content initiatives, both internal and external, acrossmultiple platforms and formats to increase awareness, increase understanding and increase engagement among the university’s targeted audiences. I use creativity and knowledge to balanceand solve messaging, audience, branding and other content needs. I am responsible for the strategic direction of the university’s publications and managing marketing/communications projects.Duties and Responsibilities: -Created a content strategy for creating and repurposing key Saint Xavier messages that was deployed across the university and to all identified external stakeholders. -Provided content for all communication channels, including print, digital, online, social media, email, mobile, video, etc. and ensured all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, optimized for each channel. -Mapped out a content strategy that supports and extends marketing and branding initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why. -Conducted ongoing analytic initiatives in order to gauge content effectiveness. Gathered data and made recommendations based on those results. -Developed best practices for content creation, distribution and repurposing across all university media channels. - Creatively looked for opportunities to improve content. -Reviewed, edited and rewrote content to meet prescribed style guidelines and optimized specific type of medium as necessary following the appropriate writing style for each medium. -Collaborated with marketing communications staff, graphic designers, interns and student workers. -Proofed all projects during various stages of development. -Attended university committees, meetings and events as needed to provide support for developing messaging strategies. -Updated and maintained university editorial standards to complement Publication Guidelines.

The Campus Citizen is IUPUI's only independent student-run publication. I have written numerous stories covering the Indianapolis area and IUPUI's campus. As a co-editor, I have led and taught student journalists to become better writers. As well as writing and editing, I ran the publication's social media accounts.
