Handle all administrative tasks of the Ratner Media Center library: cataloging new materials using the Weine system with imported MARC records or often creating original records, overseeing circulation through Library World, re-shelving materials, generate overdue notices for patrons, maintain usage reports. Acquire new materials: staff selected, Hebrew language, Judaic educational materials, Hebrew and Jewish juvenile literature, general pedagogical materials, academic and professional journals for JECC staff. Create seasonal displays for the library and in-house meetings. Create and update bibliographies to encourage circulation of seasonal items and introduce new materials through periodic and monthly newsletters.

In charge of all teen programming for my branch such as book discussion groups, STEAM programs, the Summer Reading Program and coordinating virtual author visits. Use of Baker & Taylor Title Source III for ordering YA materials and SirsiDynix for circulation, reference, inter-library loan and weeding projects. Create book lists, online reviews and creative displays to promote circulation. Attend OLC conferences and system-wide workshops when available. Help patrons troubleshoot any emedia problems with Kindles, Nooks, other tablets, personal computers, smartphones or any other device that would utilize subscription and online services such as Overdrive, Zinio, Freegal, various databases, Microsoft Office, Google products and the CLEVNET online catalog.

Use of IBID POS system, iPage and various online resources to locate, order and sell materials to/for customers. Main focus in children’s department with assisting customers with recommendations and locating materials. Led storytime and craft on Sundays with a 0-3 yrs. audience and Monday-Saturday with a 0-6 yrs. audience. Broke down and designed themed tables. Kept department alphabetical or otherwise orderly. Assisted in and lead store events: author events, book releases, Family Fun Day, birthday parties, etc. I would help plan, set up, and maintain the fluidity of event.

Circulate Library materials: acquired knowledge of Dewey Decimal system to read shelves and do shifting projects and familiar with Library of Congress System. Used KOALA and Millennium programs to help patrons renew, locate, check in and out books. Keep Library tidy: Push in chairs, dust, pickup trash, etc. Simple maintenance and use of the microfilm machines, printers, copiers, typewriters, and computers. Call patrons who have ordered OhioLINK materials as it arrives. Assist other departments of Library when not needed at Circulation desk. In charge of Lost and Found: Developed a system of mailings to notify owner if owner was known, Reorganized lost ID Bin and my system is still in use.
