Digital is not just a category of marketing. Digital IS marketing. I am passionate about teaching students and organizations how to adapt marketing strategies to this new world in which people are always connected. I also love helping executives learn how to effectively communicate with their customers via social media. My years as a college athlete taught me that all things are possible through hard work and a desire to achieve, and I approach all of my endeavors with this frame of mind. I feel privileged to work in the ever-changing digital world, which allows me to continue to learn each day. Trying to "figure out" how consumers respond to this dynamic environment and how brands can best integrate all of the pieces of the digital ecosystem has been my greatest challenge and my greatest joy. Through my research, I strive to provide clarity on how and why consumers behave the way they do, especially in response to brands' digital initiatives. I have had the pleasure of investigating these issues in the U.S., as well as more globally in EMEA and Asia-Pacific.My work has been featured in top-tier academic journals and in such popular press outlets as the Wall Street Journal, USA today, U.S. News and World Report, Wired, and BBC Radio.
