The South Coast Writing Project (SCWriP) is a branch of the National Writing Project, the largest professional development organization for teachers in the US. As a co-director of SCWriP, I help lead our Young Writers program and the Technology Committee, and also lead professional development sessions for schools and districts. My focus with the project is two-fold: generating program growth through external marketing and internal leadership development, and providing as many educators as possible opportunities to strengthen their practice and step into leadership in order to improve student learning. To this end, I also coordinate school, state, and nation-wide monthly study groups around technology in the classroom, write grants to support these groups, and seek out new ways to support educators in bridging the gap between traditional best practice and leading-edge technology.

For over a decade, I have produced, written and/or edited virtually all public-facing content created by the organization, both for print and web. I also manage and/or collaborate with staff, contractors, interns, and partner organizations to produce content, and work to maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across all mediums and channels.
