I've worked as a psychiatric physician assistant for patients aged 18 years and older for the last sixteen years. After graduating summa cum laude from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology, and a pre-med concentration, I went on to earn my Masters of Physician Assistant Studies in 2003 from the University of Iowa Medical School with specialty training in outpatient and inpatient psychiatry. Dr. Paul D. Jandl and I co-owned a full-time outpatient psychiatric private practice, ASPIRE Mental Health, St. Paul, MN. As a physician assistant, I have full prescribing and diagnosing privileges, but I'm always under the clinical supervision of a physician. Previously, I've worked at HealthPartners Inver Grove Heights and Psychiatric Recovery outpatient clinics. I've also provided care to inpatient psychiatric clients at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.
